The Magic Wand Tool
When you’re stuck, spiraling, or just over it.
Let’s be real: sometimes you don’t need another journaling framework.
You need someone to shove a magic wand in your hand and say:
“If you could change anything right now, what would you actually choose?”
This is that tool.
It’s not fluff. It’s not fairy dust.
It’s a fast-track to clarity when your brain is foggy and your thoughts feel loud.
Here’s how it works:
Ask yourself (seriously, say it out loud or write it down):
If I had a magic wand right now…
-
What would I change?
-
Who would I become?
-
How would I feel?
-
What would I do differently — like, today?
No filters. No “how would I make that happen” thinking.
This is about bypassing the fear loops and skipping straight to desire, direction, and “ohhh THAT’S what I want.”
Why it works (even if it feels silly):
Your brain doesn’t know the difference between imagining something and experiencing it.
So when you visualise change clearly, your nervous system starts relaxing into it like it’s already happening.
The resistance drops. The vision sharpens. And suddenly, you’re unstuck enough to take one small step forward.
That’s the wand. You are the magic.
Journal Prompts:
- If I had a magic wand, I would…
- I would feel…
- I would stop…
- I would start…
- One small step I can take today (no wand required)…
Use this when:
-
You feel stuck in a loop and can’t think straight
-
You’re overthinking instead of doing
-
You know you need something to change, but don’t know what yet
-
You’re in your “I don’t even know who I am anymore” era
Want this as a printable page for your journal?
And if you’re ready to stop spiraling and start showing up like your V2 self?
That’s not magic. That’s UnstuckAF.
